Youth Protection Policy

So that young people can use eosatom (the "Service") safely without being exposed to harmful information, the eosatom Operations Team (the "Operator") has established this Youth Protection Policy under the Juvenile Protection Act and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection of the Republic of Korea. The Korean version of this policy is the official version; this English version is provided for convenience.

1. Basic Policy

  1. Only people aged 14 or older can register as members. If the Operator learns that a child under 14 has registered, the account and personal information will be deleted without delay.
  2. The Service does not provide media harmful to minors (obscene material, excessive violence or cruelty, gambling, drugs, etc.) and does not allow users to post such content.
  3. Illegal information such as illegally filmed material or child and youth sexual exploitation material is deleted as soon as it is found and reported to investigative agencies when necessary.

2. Plan for Protecting Young People from Harmful Information

  1. The Terms of Service and each board's rules set out the standards for prohibited posts, and posts that violate them are deleted or hidden without prior notice.
  2. The Operator and board managers continuously monitor posts and real-time chat (LIVE_TALK), and take measures such as warnings, writing restrictions or account suspension against members who post harmful information.
  3. The Operator and board managers learn the laws on youth protection and the standards for handling harmful information so that reports are handled quickly and consistently.

3. Technical Measures Against Harmful Information

  • Reporting: every post, comment and real-time chat message has a report feature so users can flag harmful information immediately.
  • Banned words: banned words can be set for each board so that posts containing them cannot be uploaded.
  • Real-time chat management: reported messages are reviewed, and members who cause problems can be blocked from chatting for a period. Chat messages are deleted automatically after 7 days.
  • Review of automatically collected posts: depending on the board, posts collected automatically from external sources are published only after review by the Operator.

4. Counseling and Complaints About Harm from Harmful Information

  1. If you have been harmed by harmful information or find harmful information, please let us know through the report feature, Contact & Report, or the Youth Protection Officer's email below.
  2. When the Operator receives a report, it will check it without delay, take the necessary measures such as deletion or suspension of posting, and notify the reporter of the result.
  3. For harm the Operator cannot resolve directly, the Operator will guide you to the following organizations (Korea) for counseling or reporting:
